What is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a 200 year old holistic and highly individualized system of natural medicine based on the law of similars which states that a substance that produces certain symptoms when given in large doses to a healthy person can alleviate those same symptoms when administered in very small doses in a sick person. Homeopathic remedies are given in the minimum dose required to effect change and activate the patient’s self healing response.  These medicines are made of highly diluted substances which are then shaken a multitude of times; the process of diluting makes them very gentle, and the process of shaking develops subtle properties of the substances which are not present in their crude form.  Homeopaths consider all aspects of a patient, mental, emotional and physical, in the treatment of any case of ill health and seek to identify the central disturbance in a patient which affects all of these different aspects.  Identification of this disturbance allows the selection of a fitting homeopathic medicine that matches the patient’s unique characteristics in their state of illness.  Because homeopathic treatment raises the overall vitality of the patient it allows them to interact more positively with the world around themselves.

Regular Follow up Consultation:  45 minutes – $45
